Pamela Anderson and her new husband Dan Hayhurst joined Loose Women from underneath the covers on today’s programme, much to the confusion of viewers.
The Baywatch star, who married her bodyguard on Christmas Eve, spent the entire interview lying down in bed wrapped in her partner’s arms as presenters Nadia Sawalha, Kay Adams, Brenda Edwards and Stacey Solomon asked questions.
‘I didn’t think we’d actually see you in the arms of the man you love,’ Nadia announced as the couple appeared in.
‘We haven’t left bed since Christmas Eve,’ Pamela responded.
‘Really!’ gasped Nadia. ‘Oh don’t! How lovely.’
As she went to wrap up the interview, Nadia later said: ‘I actually now feel like I’m in bed with you.
‘We’re not going to disturb you any further. It looks like you have business to get to.’
She then commented to the panel: ‘I think that’s the most unusual chat we’ve ever done.’
Viewers weren’t quite sure how to react to the interview, with some branding it completely inappropriate, while others cringed.
‘What the hell is going on Loose Women?’ one wrote. ‘Most awkward interview ever. Why would you do an interview in bed with mascara over your eyes. You alright Pamela, hun?’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another penned: ‘Please just stop. This Pamela Anderson interview where she’s in bed with her new husband is incredibly inappropriate.’
Pamela met Dan at the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown last year, where they eventually fell in love.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the couple were unable to invite guests to their wedding, and there were also no best men or bridesmaids present.
This is Pamela’s fourth marriage after she was previously married to Tommy Lee – with whom she has sons Brandon, 23, and Dylan, 22 – between 1995 and 1998, Kid Rock for a brief period in 2006, and Rick Solomon, whom she married twice, in 2007 and 2013.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
