Netflix has shared a sneaky glimpse at Lucifer season 5B in the form of a clip starring the devil’s partner Chloe Decker (played by Lauren German).
The streaming giant buried the teaser in a video dedicated to kickass detective, which was packed full of her iconic moments from series past.
Sharing the montage on Lucifer’s official Twitter page, the caption read: ‘Thankful for Chloe Decker today and every day, so we made a fancam to show how much we stan.’
Fans who watched until the very end were then treated to a first-look at Chloe in action in the second half of season 5 – and it seems the new chapter picks up immediately from where we left off.
Chloe is seen stood among the wreckage of broken glass after Lucifer was sent through the window at the end of the cliffhanger finale and is heard asking: ‘Have you seen Lucifer?’
Fans were gobsmacked by the snapshot scene and begged for more.
‘HOW ON EARTH I’M GONNA SURVIVE WITH THIS TEASE UNTIL 5B? my baby looks so sad and worried,’ demanded one.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another penned: ‘Now I want season 5 B even more. Thank you for the 3 seconds of it though. I’m so excited.’
Sadly though, there’s yet to be an announcement confirming when the new episodes will arrive.
Showrunner Joe Henderson has already teased that the second half is set to be a rollercoaster of emotions.
‘Let’s just say that season 5B is our most emotional season of the series so far,’ he told Entertainment Tonight.
‘Our most emotional chunk for all of the darkness in 5A. Lightness is mixed in but I feel like 5A started a little darker. 5B will be both brighter and even darker still and it’s always darkest before the dawn.’
Lucifer is available to stream on Netflix.
