Maisie Smith and HRVY kiss: Ranvir Singh sends best wishes to couple after ‘Strictly Come Dancing snog’

Ranvir Singh has wished Maisie Smith and HRVY all the best after they are reported to have shared their first kiss at the Strictly Come Dancing final on Saturday night.

The two youngest pupils of the Strictly Class of 2020 have been at the centre of romance rumours for months, but under Covid restrictions were banned from sharing any physical contact while filming.

And addressing the supposed snog on today’s Lorraine, Ranvir – who is filling in for Lorraine Kelly – had a cheeky glint in her eye as she praised the pair.

‘I can’t say that I saw anything but all I can say they are two very talented young people,’ she grinned.

‘Although with Covid restrictions they won’t be able to see too much of each other now the show is over.

‘Whatever is happening I wish them all the best as they are really wonderful young people. Lots of love to Maise and HRVY this morning.’

A source told The Sun: ‘The pair are so flirty together, and genuinely have a real laugh whenever they see one another.

‘BBC bosses had explicitly warned against any romances, desperate to avoid any more “curse of Strictly” stories.

‘While, technically, they may not have been practising social distancing, they are both young and this was before tier four restrictions came into play.

‘But even now, in tier four, Maisie can have HRVY as her support bubble.’

EastEnders actress Maisie, 19, previously called YouTuber HRVY – real name Harvey Cantwell – ‘beautiful looking’.

‘I have only seen him for a couple of hours a week so I am still enjoying getting to know him,’ she said.

‘I don’t know what would happen in the future, but for now, we are getting along really well as friends.’

Maisie and HRVY both competed in the Strictly Come Dancing finale on Saturday night which was eventually won by comedian Bill Bailey.

While neither claimed the glitterball trophy, perhaps they’ve walked away with the biggest prize of all.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
