Mama June Shannon has revealed just how much she was spending while addicted to cocaine as she opened up about her struggles to Andy Cohen.
The reality star sat down wit the TV host for a candid chat on the latest episode of E!’s For Real: The Story of Reality and the Toddlers & Tiaras alum spoke openly about her dark times.
Best known as Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson’s mom, Mama June saw her drug addiction battles play out in the headlines in recent years – including her arrest.
In 2019, both Mama June and boyfriend Geno Doak were arrested for drug possession – which led them to a rehab stay where they were able to get clean.
Now Mama June is trying to win back her daughter’s trust in new series Mama June: Road to Redemption as she continues on the long road to recovery.
Admitting she spent $600,000 (£430,186) in six months, Mama June spoke candidly about the cost of her habit: ‘It’s kind of crazy when you think about the dollar amount.

‘In a year we probably spent over a million dollars, because our habit was $3,500 to $4,000 a day.’
Indeed, Mama June had to sell her Georgia home and treasured possessions to pay off her dealers.
She stated: ‘Addiction is real, guys. I’m a real person, I have real issues and that’s what I share with people.
‘I say that I’m a recovering addict. I know I had a problem but it’s hard for me to say I’m still an addict because I’m not doing those things anymore.’
When Andy asked the star about current sobriety, she assured fans that she is ‘very big into the recovery community’ along with Geno.
‘It’s not his fault that I had my addiction,’ she added in defense of her partner. ‘I believe that during our addiction, both of us what I call our crazy state of mind and sometimes you got to love people through their addiction.’
She explained: ‘He loved me through my addiction, and I’ve loved him through his addiction.’
The reality star is seven months clean now and hopes that her candor about her issues will help others who have followed her journey.
She said: ‘If I can make it through the crazy rollercoasters in life being in front the camera, anyone can do it in this crazy thing called life.’
