Married At First Sight UK’s Luke dropped a shocking revelation about his plans to have children in tonight’s episode.

The care home manager from Cardiff and wife Morag hosted his parents for lunch at his house during the Homestay Week.

He first had to reveal that he’d said ‘I love you’ to Morag but that, awkwardly, she didn’t feel the same back.

However, that wasn’t the biggest news Luke had to share with his parents – who were mostly stunned into silence – as he then announced he no longer wanted to have children.

It was news to Luke’s mum and viewers alike as he had said previously said kids were a deal breaker at his and Morag’s wedding.

Morag said after Luke’s revelation: ‘I do feel worried you’re just changing your mind for me. Now I genuinely believe that’s what you want and were on the same page.’

In her interview, Luke’s mum admitted she was worried her son had only changed his mind to please Morag who adamantly doesn’t want children.

His mother said: ‘I want to be confident as his mum that he’s the one making the right decision for him and not for Morag.’

Delivering the tough blow, she added: ‘I’m not convinced Luke and Morag will have a future.’

The matriarch then pulled him aside to have a heart-to-heart about his change of heart and said: ‘For me to see that man to where you are now I need to know what’s changed.’

Luke insisted: ‘I just want to be happy again, it’s the first time in years I’ve actually felt relief. It’s just how I feel right now I’m not saying I won’t change my mind because I don’t know.

‘I genuinely enjoy making Morag happy.’

His mum replied: ‘That’s my concern because this has to be your life.

‘I don’t want to see you hurt I don’t want to see you turn your life upside down just to make someone else happy.’

She concluded: ‘There’s definitely something there between you but whether there’s something there long term, I can’t see it because you’re still going to come back to being the family man who wants kids.’

Married At First Sight UK airs Monday-Thursdays at 9pm on E4.
