Married At First Sight UK star Morag has spoken out after telling her husband Luke to ‘be more manly’ left him in tears.
The newlyweds jetted off to Switzerland for their honeymoon in scenes that aired on Wednesday night shortly after they clashed about wanting children on their wedding day.
During their romantic trip, Morag, who is one of the 16 contestants taking part in the E4 reality series, decided it was time to confess what she really made of her other half.
‘You’re lovely but I need more man than boy,’ she told Luke during the most painfully awkward breakfast.
Luke admitted: ‘To be called not a man is a low blow. To me being a man is being loyal, having your back supporting you. I wanted someone to like me for who I am.’
Focusing on physical attributes, Morag continued: ‘I spend a lot of time around people who care about what they actually look like. I literally go for the same type of guy all the time, I go to the gym everyday and surrounded by all these gym bods.’
Luke said: ‘It’s hard all this, I’m finding it tough. My biggest fear in this is my partner not finding me attractive,’ to which Morag stated: ‘I need the sexual attraction.’
Speaking to the camera, the care home manager and fireman wiped away tears, adding: ‘To be told you’re not good enough, it really sucks. I’m not a pushover, I don’t know how we come back from this.’
Morag broke her silence about the uncomfortable scenes on her Instagram when a fan pointed out: ‘You made him cry, that was horrible to watch. What a genuinely nice guy he seems… these poor guys with their matches this series so far.’
The bride replied: ‘Tell me about it. He really is a genuine nice guy! An absolute gentleman and a man! But we grow and we learn.’
She also shared a behind-the-scenes video of her honeymoon with Luke, in which they travelled on a cable car and enjoyed Prosecco.
‘Shame you didn’t get to see the activities we went on!’ Morag captioned the post. ‘Zip wiring across the alps and a very, very boozy wine tasting day ? a lot of fun was had!’
