Married At First Sight UK’s Alexis Economou and her groom Jordon Mundell weren’t invited onto the couch to discuss their marriage during last night’s reunion episode.

The duo were the only two contestants out of the eight couples not to sit down with experts Mel Schilling, Paul C Brunson, and Charlene Douglas, leaving many viewers confused as to why they’d been snubbed.

Although Alexis was involved in some of the dialogue surrounding her return to the E4 series with Nikita Jasmine’s husband Ant Poole, she was otherwise sidelined.

Alexis admitted she was also clueless by the axe and addressed the dig on social media.

‘Iv woken up this morning to lots of messages asking why I didn’t get any couch time in yesterday’s reunion show,’ she penned on her Instagram Stories. ‘The truth is I don’t know what to tell you.

‘I’m sorry as viewers your disappointed but please just know I’m fine & I appreciate all your kind & positive messages.’ (sic)

It currently remains unclear as to whether Alexis and Jordon had filmed their chat on the sofa or whether they were outright overlooked for the final review.

The reunion episode finally revealed which couples are still together after having expressed their commitment to one another during the final vows in the previous episode.

Luke Dawson parted ways with Morag Crichton in explosive scenes as he felt like their romance was a ‘game’ to her.

‘I think I was played the whole time,’ he said. ‘I wasn’t the guy you wanted, and it was just a game for you, the whole thing.’

Amy Christophers and Josh Christie also parted ways.

Metro.co.uk has contacted E4 for comment.
