Married At First Sight UK star Alexis has finally had her say on Nikita Jasmine defending her honour in an explosive row with Jordon Mundell.
The dramatic scenes aired earlier this month and prompted Nikita’s exit from the experiment, with the show citing ‘unacceptable behaviour’ as the reason she was removed.
It all kicked off after it was revealed that Jordon described Alexis as not his type, with Nikita lashing out.
‘She’s my f*cking pal,’ the former contestant raged at the time. ‘I bonded with her at the hen party and if anyone at this dinner table p*sses my mates off… don’t p*ss us off, honestly.’
Casting her mind back, Nikita branded the uncomfortable argument as a ‘bittersweet situation’.
‘I felt like her intentions were pure and she saw a situation where someone she thought was her friend was vulnerable and she wanted to have my back,’ Alexis exclusively told Metro.co.uk.
‘I totally understood that but then, I don’t think it was the right place or the right time. I would have rather she pulled Jordon aside to have a conversation with him in private, rather than bringing it to the table.
‘It did make my situation more intense as well.’
Alexis insisted that she doesn’t believe Nikita to be a ‘nasty’ person.
‘Her intentions are definitely genuine, and she’s got a big heart,’ she continued. ‘I just think she was more invested in the friendship than I was. I didn’t come into the process to make friends; I came to find love.’
While Alexis did leave the experiment with Jordon at the same time as Nikita and her partner Ant Poole, she later returned with Ant in tow.
‘I’m not sure how she’s reacted to my return,’ Alexis said. ‘We don’t follow each other on social media and we don’t have a talking friendship.
‘I don’t really like stepping on people’s toes, so if she feels sh*t about it, it would make me feel like sh*t.’
Married At First Sight UK airs Mondays and Thursdays at 9pm on E4.
