Married At First Sight UK is set to get tense between Franky and Marilyse tonight after he offends her by stating his ‘ideal’ match wouldn’t have children.
Things have been a little rocky between the couple with their relationship coming to a head when the fitness instructor told his bride ‘when I speak, don’t speak’ during a heated conversation at a group dinner last week.
And it seems as though Franky puts his foot in his mouth again as the pair embark on their final date, giving them a last chance to experience some alone time to consider their future.
In a clip shared exclusively with Metro.co.uk ahead of this evening’s episode, Marilyse expresses her worries that her two children might cause obstacles when it comes to their relationship as she can’t uproot and move to Dubai, where Franky lives.
‘I hope I haven’t disappointed you that I do have children and that I can’t move to Dubai,’ she tells him.
‘Everybody in life says ideally this and ideally that,’ Franky responds. ‘I also said ideally maybe she doesn’t have kids.’
Marilyse is visibly upset by Franky’s remark and privately tells the camera: ‘To be honest with you, I was offended because I have got children and I don’t want that to be a problem.’
She adds: ‘I don’t like to waste time. Maybe we’re not meant to be. Maybe this isn’t right for me.’
Has Franky gone one step too far this time or will Marilyse forgive him?
The cutting comment from Franky comes just moments after he admits he’s ‘damn on my way with falling in love with you’.
‘I’m an all-in person,’ he tells the camera. ‘I don’t want to mess this up. She means the world to me and I don’t want her to feel too pressurised.’
Fellow Married At First Sight UK star Luke recently told us that while some of Franky’s comments have been ‘inappropriate’, he does have a ‘heart of gold’.
‘I’ve seen the softer side of him and I hope the public will see that,’ he added.
Married at First Sight UK airs Monday to Thursday nights at 9pm on E4. Catch up on the series so far on All 4.
