Martin Lewis has confirmed he’ll be returning to host Good Morning Britain this week.
The money-saving expert was a hit with viewers when he appeared as a guest host in June alongside Susanna Reid and left fans desperate for more.
Luckily for them, Martin will be back at the helm of the ITV breakfast show this Thursday and Friday, presenting with Susanna and Kate Garraway.
‘I thought I’d get a couple in before the steamroller of @itvMLshow [The Martin Lewis Money Show Live] starts,’ he said as he announced his return. ‘Do watch if you can.’
Martin is one of a number of guest stars to appear on Good Morning Britain in Piers Morgan’s place, after he quit the programme in March.
As he wrapped up his last appearance in the summer, Martin said: ‘It has been a wonderful refreshing change to outside my normal subject, which I love and I will be going back to.
‘I think I have a mission in life and that’s about saving people money and fighting for financial justice.’
Susanna replied: ‘Well you certainly didn’t steer clear of that on the programme.’
Martin went on: ‘To have a platform here, and to come and do this…maybe you’ll have me back for another few days. I don’t want the gig permanently but I wouldn’t mind coming back.’
Piers, meanwhile, has been absent from TV screens in a hosting capacity since walking out of Good Morning Britain following comments he made about Meghan Markle.
Last week, Ofcom announced that Piers didn’t breach the broadcasting code when he remarked that he didn’t believe the Duchess of Sussex’s claims that she experienced suicidal thoughts and was given no help by the Palace when she sought it.
Although Piers did jokingly ask for his job back on Good Morning Britain, his former co-host Susanna said he wasn’t returning.
However, Piers has hinted that he’ll be ‘back on TV soon’.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
