The Masked Singer UK judge Davina McCall has shared a six-year-old’s sweet fan art inspired by the singing competition – although it features a depiction of Viking that could be perceived as slightly explicit.

Earlier today, a fan of the show called Donna shared a picture on Twitter of her daughter’s drawing of Viking, Blob, Harlequin, Bush Baby, Grandfather Clock, Sausage and Robin from the current season of The Masked Singer UK.

In her tweet, she wrote: ‘Our 6 year old Annabelle loves #TheMaskedSingerUK thanks for keeping us entertained in lockdown,’ tagging Davina along with her fellow panelists Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan.

Davina took notice of the tweet, resharing it and writing: ‘These are great!!!!’

However, in response to her own tweet, Donna admitted that something looked a bit strange about Viking, as he had been drawn with a small red rectangular shape in between his legs.

‘But what is that between vikings legs,’ Donna tweeted, alongside a cry-laughing, bashful and aubergine emoji.

After asking her daughter, Donna realised that the red shape was supposed to be part of Viking’s outfit.

‘I asked, it’s his cloak!’ she wrote. Well that solves that then!

After Davina praised her daughter’s artwork, Donna said that the TV presenter’s comment made Annabelle ‘very happy’.

‘You have made a little girl very happy with that tweet!!’ she said. ‘Thankyou! Have a great day! We will be watching Saturday!’

During last week’s show, Viking became the sixth contestant to be unmasked, with A-ha singer Morten Harket revealed underneath.

Morten managed to hide his identity despite singing one of his own songs, Take On Me, for one of his performances.

‘It’s been fun to be here. It’s definitely a step into the not so comfortable zone. To do this is quite different,’ he said after the big reveal.

‘To be behind the mask was in itself cool and rather fun. To be inside the costume made my movements even clumsier than I would usually.’

This week, Robin, Sausage, Badger, Harlequin and Dragon will continue in their hope to win the competition.

The Masked Singer series 2: Who is behind each mask?

With the nation more or less confined to their living rooms every Saturday night, The Masked Singer has proven to be something of a lockdown 3.0 saviour. While the performances are of course a draw, most of the fun lies in guessing just who is behind each mask. Here are the clues and theories so far:
