Matt LeBlanc saw your memes from the Friends reunion but don’t worry, he enjoyed them (even if he didn’t fully understand them).
The Joey Tribbiani actor, who reunited with his former co-stars almost 20 years after the end of the beloved comedy series, caused the memes to roll in, as he’s inexplicably reminded everyone of their Irish dads and uncles.
The shot that set it all off was when Matt was seen listening to his co-stars reminisce in a black striped shirt and sitting with his arms folded.
Stephen Mangan – who worked with Matt on five seasons of the sitcom Episodes – told RTÉ that the actor has seen the memes.
‘I’m not sure Matt really understands what was happening,’ he said.
‘Obviously, he is Italian, but he saw the funny side of it. He’s got a good sense of humour.’
Twitter users shared snaps of the 53-year-old actor, placing him in some very specific situations.
‘Matt LeBlanc is your uncle when your parents forced your 6-year-old self to stand up in front of the adults after a family dinner and sing a song you just learned in primary school,’ one tweet read.
‘Matt LeBlanc is 5 seconds away from slapping his knees and going “well we ought to make a move who’s ready to rock and roll”,’ another user tweeted.

Another added: ‘Never has a childhood of growing up in rural Ireland better prepared me for something more than it’s prepared me for this Matt LeBlanc being your uncle meme.’
