The singer, 32, filmed himself wearing a hairnet (despite having a shaved head) as he told his followers: ‘So I’m getting a Strictly spray tan. It’s the first time I’ve had to wear one of these… A socially distanced spray tan obviously.’
He was seen stepping into the pop up tent that had been set up as a beautician hosed him down with spray tan to ensure he was looking bronzed for Saturday’s show.
Following his treatment, Max showed off his tan line, joking: ‘Warm in London, innit? Look at that for a tan line. Three minutes that took. Stay inside, kids.’
Anyone that’s used fake tan will know it takes several hours to fully develop, and Max was certainly looking like he had spent a few weeks in the Bahamas when he woke up the following morning.
Giving an update from his bed, The Wanted star said: ‘So it’s Saturday October 24, which means it’s first dance night.
‘Very excited, although I’m not too sure I actually need to turn up because I already feel like I have been tangoed.’
Max will be performing the tango with his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell on Saturday’s show.
The boybander appeared to have suffered the first injury of the series after he was spotted with a wrist brace earlier in the week, but he seems to have recovered in time for the live show.
Max also recently confirmed that he would be down for flashing some flesh on the dancefloor, explaining: ‘There is a little more shine on everything and a bit of skin.
‘We’ve not even started yet but I’ll probably just go with it – it’s all part of the show and there is no point being here if you don’t just go with it.’
Just as well he got that spray tan, then.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday from 7.25pm on BBC One.
