Millie Bobby Brown completely loses it after discovering Eleven’s actual age in Stranger Things 4: ‘That’s insane!’

Yeah, Eleven is not 17… (Picture: Courtesy of Netflix)

If you were confused about the age of the kids in Stranger Things season 4, you’re not alone because even Millie Bobby Brown didn’t realise how old her character Eleven is.

Stranger Things finally returned to rave reviews last week, with many fans, including us, hailing it as the best series to date.

The first seven episodes of season 4 (Volume 2 is released next month), was an absolute whirlwind, with El – or Jane – and Mike reunited after a year apart, following her move across the other side of the country with the Byers family.

However, speaking to Stranger Things Brazil, Millie was absolutely floored to discover how old Eleven actually is and that she’s been ‘making out’ with Mike.

In a joint interview with Noah Schnapp, who stars as Will, both actors agreed their characters were about the same age as they were filming, so 17 or so.

Wrong. Very wrong.

The interviewer informs them that, actually, Eleven is 14, and Millie’s reaction is absolutely priceless.

Both stars gasped: ‘Eleven is 14?’

Millie, still stunned, said: ‘I was making out with Mike at 13?’

‘Im like 16 [when she was filming]. I was thinking like maybe 16/17. That’s insane. Ok. We need definite clarification; they’re emailing right now.’

Well, they are starting high school after middle school in the show so, you know, the clues were there…

Stranger Things returns with the final two episodes of season 4 in July, and after that episode 7 reveal we’re still not ok, to be perfectly honest.

Stranger Things returns to Netflix on July 1.
