Millie Bobby Brown has spoken out about rumours suggesting her Stranger Things hero Eleven is being lined up for a spin-off series following the upcoming season 4.

The 17-year-old – whose recent cameo on Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s kitchen as a child went viral this week – is currently knee-deep filming the fourth chapter of the Netflix blockbuster, following the shocking climax of season three.

While we know Eleven’s father Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is alive after being captured by the Russians, what’s next for the teen with mind-bending powers is a mystery.

Reports claimed Millie signed a new contract with Netflix which included plans for Eleven to star in her own series.

However, Ross and Matt Duffer – creators of Stranger Things – confronted Millie about the rumours, which were seemingly news to them too.

‘It’s so funny that you’re saying this because yesterday the Duffer brothers came up to me and was like “why do you keep talking about a spin-off?” and I’m like “I’m not talking about anything!”’ Millie told Mark Wright on his drive-time Heart FM show.

‘I, I… listen, I would be down for whatever, I love Eleven, I would love to carry on her storyline. I think maybe she should stay with Stranger Things and that world but I’m open to a conversation, for sure.’

Not only has the star carved out a huge acting career, last year saw the teenager produce her first movie in Enola Holmes, while she also stars in the latest blockbuster Godzilla vs Kong.

In the meantime, she’s been shooting Stranger Things 4 too – not that she’s complaining.

‘It’s going good,’ she said of the next series. ‘I’m very busy and I’ve been working every day for a really long time.

‘I just can’t wait for people to see it. It’s so, so insane this season, and I just, I can’t…’

Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix now.
