Mo Gilligan‘s That’s My Jam, which is modelled on Jimmy Fallon’s US programme of the same name, has supposedly already axed.
The inaugural series of the BBC show aired eight episodes between December 2022 and February 2023, encouraging celebrity teams to compete in music-themed tasks.
The premiere kicked off with Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz from Glee, as well as Alesha Dixon from Britain’s Got Talent and Michelle Visage from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Nichole Scherzinger, Donny Osmond, Jason Derulo, Patsy Palmer, and The Vivienne were among the other guests.
However, the star power was reportedly insufficient to keep That’s My Jam from being cancelled.
According to TV Zone, despite only having aired one season, the network is planning to cancel the show.

Mo stated how much it meant to him for That’s My Jam to premiere in a primetime slot on BBC One ahead of its UK premiere.
‘All the greats of British TV have been in that slot. British culture is weekend television. It’s a big deal. It’s the time when people clock off for the week, this is their weekend and they’re letting you entertain them a little bit,’ the 35-year-old said at the time.
‘So having that primetime slot on BBC One is a massive deal and the fact that BBC and Universal trusted me and wanted me to be on board, I can’t begin to explain how much that means.’
The comedian went on to say that he and the show’s crew “worked incredibly hard to offer [their audience] the finest possible entertainment.”
When asked how it felt to take on a show that was initially created by talkshow host Jimmy in the United States, Mo responded it was a “great honour.”
‘This is his project, so it’s amazing – the fact that he’s passed the baton is incredible, but I think the coolest thing is that he was really encouraging and told me to “do it your own way”,’ he recollected.
‘He said we have the American version and so we want the UK one to be the UK one. We don’t want you to replicate what we do. That felt really great to hear, especially from him.’
That’s My Jam is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
