First look images of season 5 of Money Heist have been revealed, showing the Professor (Álvaro Morte) in a tricky situation amid speculation he’s set to die in episode 1 of final outing.
It was recently announced that the upcoming new season of Money Heist, otherwise known as La Casa de Papel, had wrapped filming, with Netflix teasing a thrilling end to the Spanish crime drama created by Álex Pina.
There are still several months to go until fans can finally catch up with Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó), Lisbon (Itziar Ituño), Denver (Jaime Lorente) and the rest of the motley crew, with the first part of season five launching on September 3 and the second volume coming out on December 3.
And it seems like the wait will definitely be worth their while… as from what we can see from the first pictures released for the final instalment, the thrilling series is going to reach new levels of drama, excitement and action.
In one of the photographs, the Professor, aka Sergio Marquina, is stood facing police inspector Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri), who has a gun pointed at his forehead at point blank range after she discovers his hideout.
In another, Tokyo, whose real name is Silene Oliveira, appears to be hiding behind a wall, holding a firearm as an expression of fear dawns on her face.

Nonetheless, Tokyo is able to remain calm in extreme situations, as another image features her seemingly waiting for a signal from her earpiece as Julia (Belén Cuesta) and Denver stand behind her.
On the other hand, Stockholm, whose real name is Mónica Gaztambide (Esther Acebo), is depicted unleashing a fit of fury while crouched down on the floor.

However, in another photograph, they appear to be backing down, as Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna) is shown carefully putting his gun on the ground.

At the point that season five commences, the gang will have been in the Bank of Spain for more than 100 hours after managing to rescue Lisbon.
But they face more obstacles than ever before, as the Professor hasn’t figured out how he will escape Sierra’s clutches.
On top of that, the army has arrived and descended upon the bank, bringing with them full-scale military force.
Will Money Heist’s final season end in triumph for the gang… or complete destruction?
