Morning Live launched this week with the hope of stealing away some of the viewers who would normally be tuning in to watch Holly and Phil on This Morning.
The chat show is pitched as a ‘lively and entertaining mix of topical content and expert advice’ and over the course of 45 minutes every morning will address the headlines that have the nation talking.
Filmed in the BBC studios, if the set feels familiar to you, that will be because it’s the same location as where the One Show is filmed and once the camera stops rolling on Morning Live, the set is flipped ready for the One Show in the early evening.
So, who are the famous faces fronting the BBC’s new breakfast show and when can you tune in to see them in action?
Who are the Morning Live presenters?
The BBC’s new morning show is hosted by former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh and BBC regular Gethin Jones.
Discussing her new presenting role, Kym said: ‘I’ve always enjoyed morning TV, it’s a great way to start the day.
‘I love nothing more than a good catch up, although this will be on a slightly different scale, more of a daily conversation with our lovely viewers.’
She continued: ‘I think variety is key so I’m really excited to work with Gethin and our fantastic guest presenters to bring the latest in lifestyle, health and consumer concerns.’
Gethin said of the new show: ‘A presenting role on a morning show like this is a bit of a dream for me.
‘What I’m most excited about is the opportunity to delve in to some of the biggest issues at the heart of our everyday lives.’
