A Squid Game: The Challenge star has claimed that some contestants were removed from the programme after being found ‘hooking up’.
The recently launched Netflix reality series, based on the blockbuster South Korean dystopian drama, follows 456 genuine participants from around the world as they compete for a record-breaking cash reward of $4.56 million (£3.725 million).
The last episode will air this week, with three participants still in the hunt for the prize money.
However, after their eliminations from the show were made public, many other cast members have been revealing information about what it was like to be on the programme, as well as several behind-the-scenes secrets.
several have come from player 243, Stephen, who said that several participants were kicked off the show early because they disobeyed the rules by going hot and heavy with one other.
The actors were ‘individually isolated’ in a hotel prior to the 16-day filming session at Warf Studios in London.

‘[We were] not allowed to interact or talk to each other,’ he explained in a recent TikTok video.
‘Some people got caught sneaking into each other’s rooms and hooking up, so they got booted from the show.’
He also said that he was nearly killed after being found sneaking into the room of his friend, player 456, Chase.
‘But they were like, “Oh, they came here together anyway so they’re fine”,’ he said.
Stephen, a fan favourite, had a strong relationship with competitor Rick, player 232, however both men were removed in episode five by player 229, Phalisia.
When asked if he still remained in touch with Rick, Stephen stated that they ‘text virtually every single day’.
Another fan favourite, player 301 Trey, revealed last week how some of the cast members resorted to using greased condoms to comfort their parched lips while on filming.
According to Entertainment Weekly, everyone received supplies at the start of filming, including a little bag containing hand sanitizer, toothpaste, and a toothbrush.
After a few days, many people regretted the absence of lip balm and turned to different methods to relieve their chapped lips.
‘There was lotion, there was conditioner, and those were the first two tries,’ he told the outlet, insisting that he steered clear of the condoms.
‘After I tried those and they weren’t working, I was like, “Well, that’s all of our options, because obviously we’re not going to use the condoms.” And within a day, maybe a day and a half, all the condoms were gone. It was absurd. And it still didn’t work!’
Sam (player 016), Mai (player 287), and Phill (player 451) are the surviving competitors.
Squid Game: The Challenge is streaming on Netflix. The season finale will be released on Wednesday, December 9.
