Netflix subscribers are obsessed with a new game show likened to The Traitors.
While the BBC airs three episodes each week of Claudia Winkleman’s murder mystery, starring Love Island‘s Ekin-Su Culculoglu in the US version, Netflix may have just what you need to get you through the weekend.
The streaming service has released The Trust: A Game of Greed, an eight-part psychological reality series.
It follows 11 strangers being offered the option of splitting a $250,000 reward fund evenly or voting for others and keeping more for themselves.
The teaser, hosted by CNN contributor Brooke Baldwin, reveals dramatic scenes, ballots thrown into a firepit and players attempting to convince each other they are not liars.
Secrets emerge, concerns about who deserves to be in the game develop, and all players are left wondering: ‘Who can I trust?’
Will they be tempted to keep all the money for themselves, or can they persuade the other players to continue in the game?
Fans have already compared the series to The Traitors, which has players exiled around the tables or Faithfuls slain at night.
The Trust >>>>>> The Traitors

Ok The Trust on Netflix is actually good 🤔 I’ll watch this type of show 10x over rather than another corny Love is Blind 😂 #TheTrust #TheTrustNetflix pic.twitter.com/xwYeaoNbgd

Netflix knows I love a good messy (not too messy) reality show. I loved The Mole but I don't think it will ever come back. But they told me to watch #TheTrust so here we are. Everyone is fake + annoying already. Love it.

But some viewers think it’s even better, with @Lolosveto simply writing on X: ‘The Trust >>>>>> The Traitors.’
@RyanX1919 recommended: ‘There’s a new show on Netflix called the trust and it’s good too! It’s another BB Traitors type show.’
@klementoutsold gushed: ‘WHY IS #THETRUST SO GOOD.’
@WillowD14 added: ‘Also if ya’ll haven’t heard yet #TheTrust is another gem that just came out of nowhere recently (on Netflix) It’s like a mash of Big Brother x Traitors.’
@superpidge penned: ‘Do I really want to watch a brand new reality show that lands on @netflix TOMORROW NIGHT!! a show that has been described like Big Brother and The Traitors?? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!! Right up my street, CAN’T WAIT!!’
Meanwhile, The Traitors final is quickly approaching in Scotland’s Ardross Castle.
With Traitor Ash Bibi captured and six Faithful sent home, Harry, Paul, and Miles are still among the 15 vying for a share of up to £120,000.
The Traitors airs on BBC iPlayer while The Trust is on Netflix, with new episodes dropping on January 17.
