Netflix has confirmed that Too Hot To Handle is set to return for a third season – and it’s back sooner than fans might have expected.

The streaming giant revealed that the dating show is back in early 2022, with three new UK titles also being announced at the Edinburgh TV Festival – Dated and Related, Snowflake Mountain and Dance Monsters.

Too Hot To Handle skyrocketed to popularity as it saw singletons attempting to make meaningful connections while being forbidden to have any sexual contact and lorded over by an AI cone called Lana (it’s just as bizarre as it sounds).

However, if any of the rules are broken, as they inevitably are, the prize fund of $100,000 (£72,000) quickly starts to deplete.

While (spoiler alert!) the first season saw the prize money split between all of the remaining contestants, after it was decided that all of them had forged meaningful relationships, season two saw the decision in the hands of the contestants, who voted for Marvin Anthony.

Despite Marvin growing a strong relationship with fellow contestant Melinda Melrose, things haven’t lasted between the pair of them.

The model confirmed she has moved on with co-star Peter Vigilante, who was booted off the show earlier in the series, and posted a snap of them together in bed.

Spilling the beans on what caused their split, Marvin and Melinda explained that they had organised a trip to Tulum, Mexico, to see each other again.

‘We were meant to meet in Tulum in Mexico, I booked my flight to go there and we fought and so finally I didn’t go,’ Marvin, who eventually took home a $55k (£39k) prize, confessed.

Melinda slammed Marvin for secretly cancelling his flight, admitting she was left in the dark over his actions.

‘I booked the Airbnb, I had things planned but of course Marvin and I did get into an argument, that is true,’ she said.

‘He could have put his big boy pants on and still come but he decided to cancel his whole flight.

‘The day that I was supposed to come he was ignoring my texts, I was texting Chase as well, he ignored me too, I was left in the dark.’

She that she will ‘always have love’ for Marvin, with her former beau insisting he missed her.

‘For a long time we didn’t talk or anything but now we talk and we are on good terms and I don’t know what will happen but we’ll see,’ he added.

‘We’re not together anymore even though I do miss her a lot.’

Too Hot To Handle seasons one and two are available to stream on Netflix.
