Niecy Nash has confirmed she will return as therapist Dr. Jamie Ryan in season two of Never Have I Ever, and her daughter will also appear in the series as well.

The hit Netflix sitcom, co-created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, was an instant hit with viewers when it dropped earlier this year.

Season one took us into the crazy yet completely relatable world of Asian-American teenager Devi Vishwakumar.

After some major downs the year before – her dad died suddenly – she was determined to turn it all around as she focused on becoming cool, getting a boyfriend, and just living her best life with her friends.

Naturally, that was all easier said than done.

And watching her attempts in the hilarious 10- episode series was an absolute hoot for viewers, especially when she got candid with her no-nonsense therapist.

As the cast begins to work on the upcoming season, Claws star Niecy confirmed to Metro.co.uk: ‘I hadn’t confirmed this until now, but yes I am back as Dr. Ryan for season two of Never Have I Ever.

‘But the best part is that I have two daughter who both audition for different roles on the show and both of them booked it.’

Never Have I Ever Season One is out now on Netflix.
