Nick Frost has recalled the moment he accidentally knocked himself unconscious while ghost hunting with pal Simon Pegg.

And what is even worse is that Simon thought he was joking, so left him there to go and order a Chinese takeaway.

The comedian, who is set to appear on The Jonathan Ross Show tonight, spoke to the host about paranormal experiences in light of his new comedy-horror series with Samson Kayo, Truth Seekers.

The actor explained that the pair used to seek out ghoulish activities when they used to live together.

‘At one point Simon and I would spend our weekends, we’d find an old Saxon church in Surrey or Essex, we’d go at night and sit in the cemetery and kind of wish for something to happen,’ Nick began.

‘We’d always run off screaming like idiots and really needing to do a wee.’

Speaking about that one unfortunate night, Simon continued: ‘[One night] it was raining and I slipped and I knocked myself unconscious on a log.

‘Simon kept shouting, “Nick, Nick” and because I didn’t answer he thought I was joking, so he left me and went home and ordered Chinese food.

‘I got back in like an hour later, looking like a bog troll and he was just sat eating chow mein. Good friend, good guy,’ he added.

The Hot Fuzz star also told Jonathan the story of when he thought he saw a ghost.

He explained: ‘I was laying on the couch watching TV, I was in the house on my own and I felt a woman’s hand from behind take my face and kiss me on the forehead.

‘I turned around thinking maybe Simon had come in but there was no one there. It felt like very small and soft hands…

‘There was a dialogue going on between me and her. It seemed like we got each other, I don’t know if it was a ghost – I could have been dreaming.’

On tonight’s episode, Jonathan is also joined by Katherine Ryan, Clare Balding and Samson Kayo.

Musical guest Billy Ocean is also in the line-up as he talked about his career and performed some of his greatest hits

The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday at 10.15pm on ITV.
