Noel Fielding has revealed a harsh dig from Courtney Love from way back in his hellraising days.
The comedian is living life in the slow lane these days, fronting the cosy Great British Bake Off while sporting a variety of stylish jumpers.
In the latest episode of Never Mind The Buzzcocks he recalled his wilder years when he was younger and didn’t ‘look after himself’.
Host Greg Davies joked that singer Yungblud wasn’t ‘a picture of health’ when he appeared as a guest on Tuesday.
Yungblud replied: ‘What do you mean? I have been running with a bin bag on in the morning.
‘Everyone kept tweeting me like, “Have I just seen you running round Shoreditch in a bin bag?” and I’m like “yeah because it means I can two more pints at the pub.”‘
The Man Down star turned to Noel, 48, and asked if he ‘looks after himself’.
He replied: ‘Me? What do you think? I do now but there was 10 years where, it was a little bit dicey Greg!’
Putting on his best impression of the rocker, he added: ‘I had 10 years where Courtney Love was going, “Okay you gotta go home now, you gotta go home. It’s over. The party’s over now go home.”‘
Noel has well and truly settled into being a family man with partner Lliana.
The couple share two daughters – Dali, named after his favourite surrealist painter Salvador Dali, who was born in 2018, and Iggy, who they welcomed in October 2020.
It was confirmed earlier this year that the music quiz was being revived by Sky after six years off the year, with Greg as host and Noel and This Country star Daisy May Cooper as team captains.
Never Mind The Buzzcocks airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Sky Max and streaming service NOW.
