Olly Murs has made a very cheeky confession – and we have a feeling Sir Tom Jones, his fellow judge on The Voice, won’t be best pleased about it.

Last year, former X-Factor contestant Olly celebrated winning The Voice with Molly Hocking by posing naked on one of the swivelling red chairs from the competition, flexing his biceps as he stretched out his legs for the memorable photograph.

Posting the picture on Instagram, the 36-year-old wrote: ‘The winner takes it off. #teamolly #afterparty.’

This Saturday, The Voice is set to return for the semi-final of this year’s competition after an eight-month hiatus, as filming had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine on Friday morning, Olly discussed how he plans on celebrating if he wins for a second consecutive year.

Lorraine Kelly brought up his nude stunt from last year, asking: ‘How on earth do you better that?’

It was at this point that Olly revealed there was even more to that picture than meets the eye.

‘What a lot of people don’t know is that was actually Sir Tom’s chair that I was sitting on,’ he admitted, causing Lorraine to burst out laughing.

We hope that chair had a thorough clean afterwards!

Olly teased that if he wins the singing competition with a member of his team this year, he has something exciting planned to celebrate.

‘This year, I’ll be honest with you, I have posted something on my social media at the start of the year, and I have got something in mind if I do win. And it’s quite out there,’ he said.

‘If I win – and it’s a massive if – and I need everyone at home to get behind my team, and if it happens it’s going to be funny.’

Olly added that the antic will ‘probably get him in trouble’ if he does follow through, in which case he’s going to ‘blame Lorraine’ for ‘encouraging him to do it’.

Are we rooting for Olly now just so we can see what he’s got up his sleeve? Perhaps.

The Voice returns Saturday at 8.45pm on ITV.
