Paul Hollywood compliments Tom Allen’s ‘nice crack’ in cheeky new trailer for Celebrity Bake Off 2021

The first episode of Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is a week away, and things are already getting heated in the tent with the unveiling of a cheeky new trailer.

A new clip has been revealed giving a taste of what’s to come from the charity version of the much-loved baking show.

Paul Hollywood is on cheeky form in the new footage, complimenting Tom Allen’s ‘nice crack’ after cutting into his tray of fresh bakes.

‘Thank you, but what do you think about the shortbread?’ Tom jokes.

Elsewhere, the new trailer shows the tent descending into chaos, as John Bishop makes a mess of his work station and bakers put their unique stamp on proceedings.

‘I always love it when the celebs mess up,’ Prue Leith says.

There are more innuendo-heavy moments too, with James McAvoy showing off his firm meringue and saying: ‘My peaks are stiff.’

We’ll take your word for it James.

At one point it also seems like Paul is about to dish out a signature Hollywood Handshake to Tom. However, he pulls it away at the last minute, leaving Tom beside himself.

The brand new series is set to air across five episodes, beginning next week. It will see 20 celebrities doing their best to impress judges Prue and Paul, while host Matt Lucas will be ‘keeping time and spirits up’.

The likes of Daisy Ridley, Jade Thirlwall, Alexandra Burke, Dizzee Rascal and Nadine Coyle are all staking their claims in the competition.

Each instalment will see four stars battle it out over three rounds – the Signature, the Technical and the Showstopper – in a bid to be crowned Star Baker.

Meanwhile, contestant Tom recently revealed that he almost experienced a major mishap during filming on Bake Off, when struggling to take something out of the fridge and it nearly fell on him.

Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer will begin next Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4.
