Amazon Prime Video subscribers have freed their weekends to binge-watch the new series Fallout.
The game adaption, which follows survivors in a post-apocalyptic world, has received excellent reviews from both reviewers and fans.
Ella Purnell from Yellowjackets and Kyle MacLachlan from Sex and the City star in the ‘best show of 2024.’
After bingeing the first few episodes on the streaming site today, fans turned to X to spread the word about Fallout.
Eddie Pernia raved: ‘The hype is real Fallout is by farrrr the best tv show of 2024 by faaaaarrr !!! That first episode was perfect #Fallout.’
Echoing Eddie’s sentiment Connor described Fallout as ‘near perfect’, indicating it will follow in the footsteps of fellow game adaptation and megahit, The Last of Us.
Conor continued: ‘No notes. The music is so on point. I’ve been smiling all the way though.’
X account Egyptianruin also commented: ‘I didn’t survive the temptation. It was amazing. I laughed, I cried, I laid my party plans to waste like a good wastelander. #Fallout #Sweepstakes #FalloutonPrime.’
Another X user Claytalian was already calling for a second season, describing Fallout as ‘incredible.’
They begged: ‘I hope they’ve already got season 2 written at least because I’d prefer not to have to wait 3 years to watch it. The acting was phenomenal. The vfx, both practical and cgi, were perfect. GIVE ME SEASON 2 NOW!!!!!!!’
Matt DeMino on X, meanwhile, said they had watched the first two episodes but had cleared their weekend to ‘binge’ the rest of the series.

Fallout, set 200 years after a nuclear bomb kills the earth, follows Lucy (Ella Purnell), who lives in a vault below with other survivors frantically clinging to civilization and polite society.
When her father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) is abducted, she must leave her refuge and return to the radioactive hellscape their forefathers left behind.
Kyle expressed his interest in the writing for Fallout, citing the bond between Hank and Lucy as a key factor.
‘You can see they’re really comfortable with each other; they really get along well and that was that was important,’ he said of their on-screen relationship.
‘I have a son who is 15, I understand the parent-child relationship, and how important that is, and I wanted to bring that kind of warmth.’
Fallout also features Justified actor Walton Goggins and Emancipation star Aaron Moten, while Christopher Nolan’s brother, Jonathan Nolan, is an executive producer.
Fallout is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
