Peter Andre admits he doesn’t want more kids with wife Emily but can’t wait to be a grandad

Peter Andre has spoken out about his family plans, admitting he doesn’t really want to have any more children of his own, but is looking forward to becoming a grandparent one day.

The singer, 48, appeared on Wednesday’s Loose Women where he revealed that there may not be any more mini-Andres walking around anytime soon from him and wife Emily MacDonagh, 32.

Speaking about his 16-year-old son Junior, who he shares with ex Katie Price along with 14-year-old daughter Princess, not wanting any more siblings, Pete admitted he doesn’t think a big age gap is an issue.

He joked: ‘First of all, I didn’t know it was the kids’ idea to tell us whether we are allowed to have more kids or not, but I guess that is the new generation!

‘Junior did say this, and he was like “yeah, I’m not keen” and I’m like “well mate, first of all I’d ask Emily if she was keen, just to let you know, but anyway!” I understand what he meant about the age gap.’

Peter revealed that he was actually closest to his eldest brother out of all of his siblings and didn’t feel the big gap in age mattered to them.

He added: ‘I don’t really think it matters and it’s just whether Emily wants another child. I don’t think I get a say either to be honest!’

Pete revealed that he is happy with his family the way it is, adding: ‘Honestly, me being 48, I hope she doesn’t!

‘I’ve had loads of kids, I’m happy, she’s so wonderful and she’s an incredible mum.’

While he is not keen on having another screaming baby of his own, Pete is looking forward to the day he becomes a grandfather and one of his children has a baby.

He explained: ‘But I always said to [Emily]: “Don’t forget, you might want more kids but think about our kids will grow older and maybe one of them will bring us children and then we can do it all again,” but we can also hand them back!’

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30 on ITV.
