Peter Andre startled fans on This Morning when he appeared as a guest – not to be interviewed on the sofa, but to perform some cooking in the kitchen.
The unusual segment perplexed viewers, but the Australian pop diva was on hand to share some recollections about an ITV favourite.
When asked about his bravery in cooking for Italian chef and This Morning meme Gino D’Acampo, the Mysterious Girl hitmaker, 50, said that Gino, 46, wasn’t too keen on his pasta to begin with.
‘I know you have Gino here, and let me tell you about Gino…’, Pete began, earning an ‘oh gosh’ from Holly Willoughby.
‘I remember he came to my house once and I made him a pasta,’ Peter shared.
‘He started telling me how I’m doing it wrong!’
Dermot O’Leary then chimed in with a sarcastic: ‘That doesn’t sound like him at all.’
Pete went on to describe how he was able to silence Gino and finally get his seal of approval.
‘I said to him, “Sit down”, obviously politely, I said, “Sit down, let me make you the Greek pasta and then you can tell me what you think.”
‘And he had it and he was telling me how wrong it was, and then he went back for seconds!’
A surprised Holly then asked: ‘So, what’s in the Greek pasta?’
Ever the charmer, Pete replied: ‘It’s just done with Greek love.’
Pete made his own ‘KFC’ burgers today, which he actually rebranded as ‘Kentucky Fine Chicken’ given that they weren’t fried.
The former I’m A Celebrity contestant was promoting his cookbook, which is packed of nutritious dishes, adding another string to his bow after stunning fans by becoming a GB News presenter.
However, given Pete’s notoriety, anchors Holly and Dermot were more interested in conversing with him about, well, Pete, leaving viewers in the dark whether they tried the recipe themselves.
‘Peter Andre is cooking on #ThisMorning but isn’t telling the viewers how to cook his chicken recipe’, one person tweeted, to which another replied: ‘What’s the point then?’
‘And what the hell is the recipe mate?’, asked another.
Others were perplexed by Pete’s decision to pursue a career in cooking.
