Piers Morgan and Ben Shephard have been presenting Good Morning Britain for five years, but they’ve only appeared together in the studio once in that time – Piers thinks he might have an explanation why.
Piers wished Ben a happy birthday on Instagram, posting a picture of the pair together on the show and sharing his theory.
‘Happy Birthday [Ben Shephard] – my [Good Morning Britain] presenting colleague for the past 5yrs, yet this the ONLY time we’ve ever appeared together in the studio,’ he wrote.
How does Piers explain their lack of time together on the show? Because Ben is supposedly intimidated by his looks.
‘I assume it’s in his contract to avoid me because he feels he can’t compete aesthetically,’ he wrote.
We’ll take your word for it, Piers.
Meanwhile, Piers was late for Good Morning Britain last week as he comforted a colleague who had been in a car crash.
The presenter was also trolled for his cheeky birthday post to his wife recently, calling her ‘the world’s luckiest woman’.
Piers was also forced to deny he’s the pigeon lady in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York after confusion mounted social media.
The broadcaster insisted that he does not play the notorious character, which was portrayed by Brenda Fricker in the 1992 movie.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
