Piers Morgan takes swipe at James Acaster for swearing at Lorraine Kelly as he promises to strike back

Piers Morgan has hit out at James Acaster for swearing at Lorraine Kelly on The Last Leg’s New Year’s Eve special.

The Good Morning Britain presenter wasted no time in taking a swipe at the comedian on today’s show after James told Lorraine to ‘go f**k yourself’ for choosing him as her hero of 2020.

Discussing the hilarious scenes with his co-host Susanna Reid, Piers, who was recently schooled on who James is, began: ‘I don’t know who that pasty-faced little weasel is swearing at queen Lorraine like that.

‘What’s his name? James Acaster? Apparently, he’s a comedian. I thought a prerequisite of being a comedian was you had to be funny.

‘Anyway, James Acaster, you’re on the list.’

‘Which list is that?’ Susanna asked.

‘You know which list, Susanna,’ Piers responded, before explaining he has a list of the people who have randomly ‘attacked’ him.

‘I put them on my list and I bide my time,’ he explained. ‘Sometimes it can be years, decades, and then when they least want me to, then I’ll strike back.’

Uh oh, James. Uh oh.

Last week, Lorraine was asked to name a person who had made a big difference over the past 12 months and the television presenter had an unexpected answer.

‘Stay with me on this one – Piers Morgan,’ she said.

As soon as she said the journalist’s name, her fellow guest James replied: ‘Go f**k yourself!’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
