Piers Morgan has taken to Twitter to troll Jeremy Clarkson after his blunder on Sunday’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?.
Piers had a bad experience on the show earlier in the week after crashing out with just £1,000 – and now Jeremy has had his own embarrassing moment on the programme.
Actress and comedian Ronni Ancona was in the hot seat on the celebrity edition of the ITV quiz show when she was given a question about the longest British motorway in the UK.
She passed the question over to host Jeremy, believing that the motoring expert would definitely know the answer.
However, Jeremy prompted Ronni to go with the M1 rather than the M6 and got the answer wrong, which resulted in Ronni losing out on thousands for charity.
‘I’m ashamed of myself,’ Jeremy said on the show, with Ronni going away with just £1,000.
Piers was quick to criticise Jeremy online for the mistake, saying: ‘At least I know the longest motorway is the M6… and I haven’t hosted a car show for 8,000 years’
It comes after Piers appeared on the show as a contestant just a day previously, after taking a wrong turn on a Formula One question.
Piers was attempting to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity that provides support to children whose parents lost their lives serving in the British Armed Forces, when he won just £1,000.
Despite coming away with far less than he intended, Piers pledged to make up the difference to his chosen charity, donating £15,000 of his own money for a total of £16,000.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will be available to watch on ITV Player.
