Love Island star Dani Dyer found it tough going to her baby scans alone amid the pandemic.

Dani is pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence and attended the first ultrasound scan by herself.

She ‘really struggled’ being there alone so has turned to booking private scans in order to make sure Sammy can be at her side.

Speaking on Lorraine on Wednesday, host Christine Lampard asked how she is finding her first pregnancy during such a difficult time.

For women who have had babies before and now they’re going through the coronavirus, it is difficult.

Dani shared: ‘I’ve been to a few scans and Sammy wasn’t allowed to be there and I really struggled because I feel like, this is the father of my child I need him in that room with me!

‘You do end up having to book private scans because I just needed him there. I’m such a worry anyway so it was just nice to have him holding my time. But it is a scary time.’

The reality TV star has spoken openly about experiencing severe anxiety during her pregnancy.

She went on: ‘It feels like every day there’s something new. I always make a problem out of nothing. There’s the gradual things like at the beginning I had really bad headaches and migraines and couldn’t get out of bed and I thought something was wrong. There’s always something else. I’m just dealing with it now.

‘I have my good days and my bad but I’m always tired.’

Luckily she has support from her EastEnders star dad Danny Dyer, who gave her some sound parenting advice.

Dani said: ‘He thinks he’s funny. He really is like, “You just learn it all on the job. you don’t know what you’re doing until you’re actually doing it, as long as they’re fed and you’ve given them loads of love, you’ll be fine.”‘

Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV.
