Tonight Ant and Dec were greeted by a special video from Prince Charles who took the time to announce his support for their new project.
The presenters have teamed up with the Prince’s Trust for Making it in Media, a new initiative aimed at giving young people from all walks of life a foothold in the television industry.
Prince Charles took an opportunity to be on The One Show to thank them for their efforts while hosts Alex Jones and Ronan Keating watched on.
‘I could think of no better duo to help drive this activity than Ant and Dec, who have enjoyed an illustrious career in the media for over 30 years,’ he said.
‘During that time they’ve both followed me around while filming a documentary for ITV and also played an incredibly generous part in our annual Prince’s Trust event in London.
‘So thank you, Ant and Dec, for more than I can ever say for all of your efforts on behalf of all of the young people who will be supported by this project with The Princes Trust.’

Even though the presenting duo has met the Royal before, Dec was still impressed by the video.
‘How cool is that,’ he said.
Ronan couldn’t help but slip in a joke, saying: ‘It’s the eyebrow raise when he said, “They followed me round”.’
Ant added: ‘“They followed me round for a year” he had a little twitch there of PTSD, “They were there everywhere I went”.’
After an incredible career that has spanned three decades so far, the I’m A Celebrity hosts are wanting to give back.
’30 years ago when we started out we were given amazing opportunities. Normal unremarkable kids from the west end of Newcastle,’ they said.
‘We want to give children with similar backgrounds as us the same opportunity.’
The One Show airs weeknights from 7pm on BBC One.
