After her stint last year with partner Giovanni Pernice, Ranvir said Ben’s wife would be ‘more relaxed’ with him going on the show if he was paired with a man.
Speaking on Thursday’s episode, Ben joked that Dr Amir Khan would be the next ‘sacrifical lamb to throw on the Strictly fire’ following Ranvir.
Ben said he wasn’t sure how his wife would feel about him taking part then Ranvir offered a suggestion.
She said: ‘Also, since Giovanni wants to do a male-and-male pairing, so… Ben. Annie might be more relaxed with you being on it.’
Her co-presenter shared: ‘Can I just make a point, now that Amir is with us we have another sacrificial lamb to throw on the Strictly fire. Amir I’m assuming you would be keen and up for this season’s Strictly Come Dancing?’

Amir replied: ‘I’m very busy working in the NHS.
Showbiz reporter Richard Arnold chimed in: ‘The only sacrifice around here would be you Ben because [weather presenter] Laura Tobin is champing at the bit as ever.’
‘Just imagine Laura on the dance floor. You couldn’t take that from her she needs her chance to shine,’ the Tipping Point host said.
News reader Sean Fletcher added that the programme has been ‘after you for years’.

‘With the negotiations we need to get it ironed enough so it’s actually worth it. Obviously they’ve gotta cover the divorce settlement afterwards,’ Ben joked.
Richard added: ‘You and Giovanni would make such a happy couple.’
Laughing, Ranvir said: ‘You thought I got the headlines, wait until you get with him in a room!’
On Strictly 2020, boxer Nicola Adams and dancer Katya Jones became the show’s first ever same-sex pairing.
Giovanni has said in the past he would be up for dancing with a man, telling The Mirror: ‘It’s not down to me, but if the production people come to me and said “listen Giovanni we’d love you to be partnered with a man”, I’d say “yes”.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
