Richard Madeley is set to appear on The Wheel this evening, and he had host Michael McIntyre in hysterics during one standout moment.
The TV presenter – and real life’s answer to Alan Partridge – had the comedian cracking up after revealing his unique name for the TV series Blackadder.
It came after Richard was posed the question: ‘Which of these is set furthest from the present day?’
He was given a choice between Call the Midwife, Dad’s Army, Peaky Blinders and Blackadder Goes Forth.
Richard then took Michael by surprise on the game show by shortening Blackadder Goes Forth to ‘BGF’ – an abbreviation we’re pretty sure no-one has thought to use before.
Michael laughed and said: ‘Richard is such a TV professional, he realises we’re conscious for time and he’s gone, “we’re gonna go full abbreviation now until the end of the show”.’
Tune into the show this evening to see how Richard gets on.
He can be seen starring alongside World champion boxer Chris Eubank, model Daisy Lowe, presenter Jennie Bond, comedian Joel Dommett and reggae musician and entrepreneur Levi Roots.
It comes after a contestant on The Wheel managed to beat the odds to win a massive £56,000 despite choosing ‘worst’ expert Stacey Dooley for the final question last week.
Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel airs at 8.30pm on BBC One.
