Rita Ora more restrained with flirting on The Masked Singer after The Chameleon heartbreak

Rita Ora was more restricted with her flirting on the new series of The Masked Singer.

The singer is back on the show alongside fellow judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and newbie Mo Gilligan with host Joel Dommett overseeing proceedings.

Mo is stepping in for actor Ken Jeong as he was unable to fly over from the US to take part this year.

Rita had chemistry with contestant The Chameleon and she was convinced it was boxer Anthony Joshua behind the mask.

It turned out to be The Darkness front man Justin Hawkins, leaving the Anywhere singer a bit sheepish.

According to Davina, she has learned from the experience and decided not to get too involved this time around.

Davina shared: ‘Rita was very restrained as far as flirting this year. No one caught her eye in that way!’

The presenter continued: ‘She is so good with picking out vocal tones though. She has such a good ear. And Mo was amazing on the panel. He was really good fun to have.

‘We missed Ken a lot but Mo was a really good addition, very very funny.’

Rita herself meanwhile is not getting her hopes up for finding romance in the new series after The Chameleon broke her heart.

‘I thought I’d found my Prince Charming last season, what happened?’ she joked.

‘I didn’t have those expectations again this season, I didn’t want to be heartbroken again.’

The star also explained that she is finding it much harder to guess which celebrity is performing inside their costume.

‘I came in as the champion from last year, full of confidence and now I’m sort of second guessing everything because they’ve made all the clues ten times harder. I think on purpose so I don’t win. The sabotage is unbelievable!’ Rita added.

At least she liked The Chameleon for his voice and not his tight-fitting outfit, unlike viewers. Ahem.

The Masked Singer returns Boxing Day at 7pm on ITV.
