Rochelle Humes has assured This Morning viewers that Holly Willoughby will be ‘back next week’ after deputising for her on the ITV show.
The presenter stepped in alongside Phillip Schofield on Monday’s show, but told fans ‘don’t worry’ as they anticipate Holly’s return.
The 32-year-old is presenting the show this week as Holly takes a break to work on ‘a secret project’.
Holly has been absent from the show for a fortnight, with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary presenting last week.
After making Phillip laugh with a blunder on Monday’s instalment, Rochelle told fans that Holly’s break was just ‘temporary’.
Rochelle was left feeling a little sheepish after struggling to push the tombola into the right position during the Spin to Win competition section.

‘She’s gone early for the tombola,’ Phillip said as Rochelle went to the wrong place in the studio.
Laughing, Roch replied: ‘What is happening? I heard someone say, “cue Roch” so Roch went!’
Addressing viewers, the presenter and singer added: ‘Don’t worry, Holly’s back next week. It’s alright, it’s just temporarily.’
It comes after Holly shared the update on Instagram for those who were excited to see her return to work on Monday.
With her son Chester, six, jumping on her back as she lies on the grass writing in a notebook, Holly is seen smiling and wrote: ‘Vitamin D, caffeine and a side order of distraction from Chester.
‘Working on something else next week which I can’t wait to share with you all…’
Fans were disappointed to learn that Holly would be away from the programme over the coming days, but Rochelle deputised well on Monday’s show.
Elsewhere on the programme Phillip hit out at Covid scaremongers in a heated row with Matthew Wright, questioning continued caution amid the vaccine roll-out.
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
