The Frock Destroyers have finally released their first music video since forming during the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, and it’s well worth the wait.
Divina de Campo, Blu Hydrangea, and Baga Chipz all made a big impression on the show and recently delighted fans by announcing their debut album is set for release this month.
Now, we get to see them in action for the first time, with the trio starring in a spectacular new video for the single Her Majesty.
The clip sees the trio performing on the RuPaul Drag Race set while wearing Victorian and Elizabethan-style dresses, looking every inch the drag royalty they are.
Divina, Blu and Baga all bring the laughs and looks in the clip, singing the ridiculously catchy chorus: ‘You can call me her majesty, nothing else really works for me.
‘If you look at all the queens in history, then you know what to say when you’re talking to me,’ the trio add, bringing their signature cheek and charm.
Fans first saw Frock Destroyers on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, where the band went up against the other girl group Filth Harmony on the show.
As well as winning over a new legion of fans, they also became the first song by a drag group to reach the UK’s top 10 chart with their version of MNEK’s song Break Up (Bye Bye).
Baga, who ended RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in third place, said she ‘can’t believe’ the band is releasing an album.
‘We’ve worked so hard and we’ve spent nearly a year on it all in lockdown and it’s FINALLY HAPPENING,’ Baga said. ‘It’s going to be amazing; we love all the songs and I think especially coming closer to Christmas time, we all need a bit of cheer and want to put smiles on people’s faces.’
Frock4Life will be available on all music streaming platforms on 11th December, from World of Wonder Records. You can pre-order the album here.
