Love Island winner Millie Court was unable to escape comparisons to her rival Lillie Haynes on This Morning, with Ruth Langsford awkwardly mistaking the pair live on air.
Just a few days after their victory, which saw them split a £50,000 prize, Millie and Liam appeared on Friday’s edition of This Morning, with Millie tuning in from Essex and Liam from a hotel in east London, before he’s able to return home to Wales.
After a compilation was shown from their Love Island journey, Eamonn remarked to Millie that ‘anybody’ could have made the same ‘mistake’ that Liam did, when he kissed Lillie in Casa Amor behind Millie’s back.
‘I have to say Millie before you’re too hard on him, Millie and Lillie, you sound alike and you look alike, in fairness, I mean it could be a mistake that anybody would have made,’ he said, as Ruth shook her head disapprovingly.
‘You think?’ Millie replied, laughing off the suggestion.
Fortunately, Millie took Ruth’s blunder in her stride
Ruth then inadvertently rubbed more salt in the wound, when she called Millie by the wrong name.
‘Firstly congratulations, welcome home. Lillie – uh Millie, just explain to people why you’re not together,’ Ruth said, chuckling at her own mistake as Millie burst into laughter.
Several This Morning viewers remarked on how awkward they found the name mix-up.

‘Did Ruth really just call Millie , Lillie ffs hahahahaha,’ one person tweeted.
‘When Ruth called Millie Lillie…oops!’ another said.
As they arrived home in the UK following their stay in the Love Island villa, Millie and Liam shared a kiss at the airport.
Millie and Liam recently opened up about where they see their relationship heading in future, discussing the prospect of moving in together and marriage.
‘Millie and I will move in together eventually. We’ve been living together in the villa together for the past 7/8 weeks. We don’t want to jump into living together straight away because we don’t want to add too much pressure,’ Liam said.
Millie joked that a proposal would ‘have to be massive’ after Liam asked her to be his girlfriend during the live Love Island final.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
