Rylan Clark was on a romantic date… with a gimp, in scenes that no one expected to witness this week.
Yes, you read that correctly.
When she appeared on The Last Leg on Friday night (August 11), the TV host, 34, was set up in the ultimate act of matchmaking.
His participation on the final episode of the weekly comedy show occurred two weeks after he made a very thirsty tweet about a person in the crowd wearing a gimp mask, with an intoxicated Rylan saying he was drawn to him.
Taking to Twitter after a few glasses of red last weekend, he wrote: ‘Is it weird to think the gimp on @TheLastLeg is attractive or have I been single too long?’
So, being the man of the people that he is, host Adam Hills decided to set Rylan up with the one and only gimp.
Is it weird to think the gimp on @TheLastLeg is attractive or have I been single too long?

Revisiting the origins of his rather unusual crush, Rylan explained: ‘I was literally sat at home, I’d opened a bottle of red wine, had a couple of glasses, I watch you guys on a Friday, I love the show, and I was sitting there like, “I bet that gimp’s quite fit behind that mask…”
‘The next thing I know, I’m tweeting!’
But Adam didn’t stop there, as he not only reminded Rylan of his tweet, but also revealed a humorous DM he sent to the show’s main account.
‘Find him 😂’, Rylan wrote – which he now has no recollection of!
The X Factor alum cringed as his message was shown on live TV, asking through laughter: ‘Did I actually send that?’
Adam and co-presenters Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe then launched a game called Find That Gimp, which featured three guys dressed in outrageous gimp suits, one of whom was Rylan’s original crush.
And it was Rylan’s fortunate day, since he was able to correctly identify the ‘original gimp’ and go off hand-in-hand with her for a dinner date.
The unusual couple sat at a dining table feeding each other pasta while a musician serenaded them.
Who said romance is dead?
Rylan, ever the comedian, even took out a ring and proposed, but made a jab at ex-husband Dan Neal by claiming he’ll be ‘getting a prenup’ this time.
The entire event was a riot, and fans at home couldn’t quit laughing.
‘You’ve heard of Lady & the Tramp. Now meet Rylan & the Gimp’, one person tweeted.
The show ended with the pair staging a wedding, with a viewer tweeting: ‘Congratulations @Rylan and Gimp number 2, I can’t wait for the Honeymoon photos.’
On a more serious note, Rylan has been single for some time now, having rebuilt his life and mental health following his divorce.
He’s been candid about how much it cost him, with his own family worried about his well-being as he walked away from the spotlight.

Rylan discussed the terrible period with Elizabeth Day on her How to Fail podcast, admitting that the divorce “very much nearly killed me.”
He said: ‘It was really difficult, looking back on it now, it’s awful to sit there and say this but I am almost glad it nearly killed me.
‘And I am so thrilled I can say that two years on, because I didn’t think I could say that two years on.
‘And I won’t go into too much detail but it was extremely traumatic and I’m not just being dramatic, it was very much trauma.’
