Of course, it’s fantastic that a whole new generation of music fans has discovered S Club 7… The band, on the other hand, has a fight with you.
The Bring It All Back hitmakers were beaming with delight as they finally broke the news of their long-awaited homecoming tour on The One Show on Friday.
That’s right, people! Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens, and Tina Barrett will be joined by all seven members for an 11-date arena tour in the UK and Ireland later this year.
We’re sure there will be fans of all ages in the throng yelling out the words – just make sure you get them properly!
Hannah, in particular, stated that she has witnessed Gen Zers (those born between the mid-1990s and the mid-2010s) making up their own phrases on TikTok.
Speaking with broadcaster Alex Jones, she was astounded to find that their tracks had received over 60 million Spotify plays.
‘It’s amazing. It’s incredible that Generation Z has picked up on TikTok with the likes of our songs nowadays and it’s incredible,’ she began.
‘But, I will just add to that, I think everyone’s saying, “Reach up for the stars!”‘
‘It’s a new thing they’re doing!’, Jo chimed in.
Of course, there’s no ‘up’ in the lyrics, only ‘Reach for the stars,’ so you know what to sing if you’re going to see the band live this year.
‘It doesn’t even fit!’, exclaimed presenter Alex.
‘On the trumpet, I think it does,’ Hannah clarified.
The band then announced that Reach is their favourite song to perform live again.
Bradley explained what we may anticipate when they hit the road:
‘We’re brining the nostalgia, we’re bringing the late 90s/early noughties, so there’s a lot of fun. It’s very positive our music, and in today’s times, we need a bit of positivity, we need a bit of picking up, so we’re here to give you that.’

The band stated that they haven’t begun rehearsals yet, but they’re eager in hearing what songs fans want to hear and encouraged them to make set-list recommendations via social media.
‘I don’t think we’ve changed that much,’ Jon said, explaining how the reunion came about. When we meet one other and go back into the room, it’s as if we hadn’t seen each other in five minutes, but Simon Fuller, our manager, texted us all personally towards the end of last year and told us about the anniversary, and we started up our own WhatsApp group to get psyched about the tour.’
‘It feels like the right time,’ Rachel remarked, and we couldn’t agree with her more.
Jo, who has lately been in and out of the hospital with back problems that required surgery, has also stated that she will be in fighting shape by the time the tour begins.
‘I’m ready,’ she said. ‘I’m doing rehabilitation, I’m permitted to swim now, so I’ll be back on that stage 100%,’ she says.
We can hardly wait!
