Dan Levy has announced his latest TV project, with the Schitt’s Creek star set to host a new cooking show for HBO Max.

The 38-year-old actor has created new series The Big Brunch and will also act as presenter.

The programme is being produced by producer Boardwalk Pictures, which also worked on Chef’s Table and Sex, Love & Goop.

The Big Brunch will celebrate a diverse range of culinary talents from around the US.

The series will see contestants compete for a life altering prize while sharing their business dreams and – most importantly – cooking up amazing brunches.

Dan said: ‘Everybody has a friend, a family member, or a co-worker that is extraordinary at what they do, they just need a leg up so that their talents can be appreciated on a larger scale.

Schitt’s Creek favourite Dan is very much in demand at the moment, after he also landed a huge deal with Netflix earlier this year.

Announcing the news on Twitter, Netflix said it is ‘thrilled’ to be forming a creative partnership with Dan to create ‘original content across films and series’.

The news comes after Schitt’s Creek became the first comedy to win every major award at the Emmys in 2021.

Schitt’s Creek is available to watch on Netflix.
