Bad news for Selling Sunset fans amid reports production on the hit Netflix series has been paused due to a cast member testing positive for coronavirus.

According to US Weekly, the filming for the show has been shut down as a safety precaution and will last for 15 days.

An insider confirmed to Metro.co.uk: ‘The entire cast and crew will be tested twice this week before resuming production.’

Thankfully this delay in filming shouldn’t affect the upcoming season. Back in July, Mary Fitzgerald revealed to OK! that filming on season four was wrapping up and the crew was set to get started on the fifth.

This means that the delay shouldn’t make fans wait any longer than planned for the fourth season to finally land on the streaming service.

Teasing what to expect, Mary added: ‘It’s been pretty crazy and a lot has changed for people. There are bigger clients, bigger real estate and changes within the cast. It’s going to be epic. I would say season four is going to kill all of the other seasons!’

Netflix previously revealed the returning cast for the next two series when they announced the program had been recommissioned.

They said: ‘Joining Jason and Brett Oppenheim are Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald (and Romain Bonnet), Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander, and Davina Potratz.’

There will also be two new cast members as Vanessa Villela and Emma Dernan join the Oppenheim Group.

As many fans know, Chrishell and her boss Jason went official on July 28 with an Instagram post.

After revealing the surprising romance to the world, Chrishell confirmed the pair had been dating for two months before going public.

That timeline will also affect whether or not we’ll see the romance play out on screen.

Seeing as filming was wrapping around the time they went public, it seems likely there will have been some crossover – although the juicy details could be coming in season five.

The third series delved into Chrishell’s divorce from Justin Hartley after two years of marriage before filing for divorce in 2019, while Jason used to date Mary before her marriage to Romain Bonnet.

Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix.
