Selling Sunset season 5: Mary Fitzgerald teases even more explosive drama as she hints at release date

Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald has lifted the lid on the release date for season 5, revealing that it’s going to be just as dramatic as fans are hoping.

For Netflix viewers who whizzed through the ten episodes of the reality show’s fourth season, they’ll attest that it was a whirlwind to say the least.

From Christine Quinn’s fallout with Mary and the other members of The Oppenheim Group deepening, to hints of Chrishell Stause’s romance with boss Jason Oppenheim, there was a lot to unpack.

On Tuesday’s edition of Lorraine, real estate agent Mary was in the ITV studio with her husband Romain Bonnet to talk with Lorraine Kelly about what went down, with the Frenchman gifting the host a bottle of bubbly for her birthday.

When asked what avid watchers can expect from the new episodes, which have already been filmed and were teased in the final episode of season four, Mary didn’t disappoint.

‘With all of the women, they are all big characters like you said, they all fall out with one another, it’s crazy. Are we going to see more of this? The next season is going to happen, right?’ Lorraine asked.

‘Yes, yeah. We have season five coming out probably in March,’ Mary responded.

‘We’re done filming. We have a couple of pick-ups when we get back, and a couple of interviews still to do, but for the most part, season five’s done filming, and it will be very, very good.’

Mary implied that big lingering questions will be answered, saying that it’s going to be ‘big’.

‘Season four I think was very like… a lot was going on and just shocking and great and dramatic, and season five’s gonna be the same,’ she said.

We only have to wait till March?! We couldn’t be more excited.

During their time on Lorraine, Mary and Romain opened up about their desire to have children together, revealing that they’re going to freeze embryos as right now their primary focus is on their ever-growing careers.

They also spoke briefly about Christine, who Mary was previously extremely close to but has since fallen out with, seemingly without any hope of reconciliation.

Lorraine showed a picture of Christine pushing her baby in a pram, remarking that she was wearing the ‘biggest heels I’ve ever seen in my life’ and questioning how the realtor had a baby two weeks before the picture was taken given her slim physique.

‘A freak of nature in a good way, but I don’t know if I would ever look like that if I had another baby, but good for her,’ Mary said.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and Selling Sunset is available to watch on Netflix.
