Warning: Major spoilers ahead for Sex And The City’s And Just Like That episode 5.

Sex And The City reboot And Just Like That had viewers aghast as Miranda (played by Cynthia Nixon) enjoyed sex with Carrie’s boss in her kitchen.

In episode five of the HBO reboot, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) underwent an operation on her hip to help with her lower back pain and Miranda was called over to her flat to help keep an eye on her.

However, a major spanner was thrown into the works when Che (Sara Ramirez) stopped by to deliver their podcast colleague a bottle of tequila as a ‘get well soon’ present to aid her recovery.

Conveniently though, Carrie was taking an ‘opioid nap’ when Che arrived, so they instead took to doing shots with Miranda.

Che lit up a spliff and the chemistry between them intensified… and sure enough one thing led to the other.

Miranda was soon crying out with pleasure as Che placed their hands down her trousers, with Carrie, who desperately needed to use the bathroom, disturbed by the noise.

‘That was the best feeling I’ve ever felt in my life’, Miranda confessed to Che as they embraced, clearly forgetting about her husband Steve.

Meanwhile, Carrie was forced to relieve her bladder in a Snapple bottle which she ended up spilling all over her bed.

As soon as Che left the apartment all hell broke loose as Carrie, of course, was furious at the situation and called Miranda out for not being there for her.

‘I peed in a Diet Peach Snapple bottle,’ she yelled. ‘Maybe Charlotte was right, maybe you do have a drinking problem’.

Hitting back, Miranda said: ‘I don’t have a drinking problem, I just got carried away!’

‘You are married and you just had sex in my kitchen!’ Carrie retorted with Miranda making a sad admission.

‘I’m unhappy, ok?’ she admitted. ‘I’m trapped. I hate my marriage, I hate my life. Since forever. What would I say? That I don’t want to be this person anymore.’

Viewers were conflicted over the scenes with some jealous of Miranda’s romp and others left covering their eyes.

‘I want and need to have sex like Miranda. That was epic, Jesus,’ wrote one.

‘I am horrified by this #SexAndTheCity episode,’ another said. ‘Miranda. Opioids. Amazing Cringe.’

Sparks have been flying between Miranda and Che over the course of the new series, so now they’ve sealed the deal will we be seeing more of them together? Only time will tell…

The new episode comes as Miranda actress Nixon revealed she expressed her desire for the Sex And The City remake to be more diverse.

In an interview with News Corp via the Herald Sun, she said: ‘It was a very hard decision. I really didn’t think I was going to do it – I was very reluctant.

‘But the more I talked to Sarah Jessica [Parker], [writer-creator] Michael Patrick King, and Kristin [Davis], about the things that I couldn’t go back without – a real sea change in terms of the lack of diversity in the original series, they were on board.’

And Just Like That airs on Sky Comedy and is available to stream on NOW.
