Sarah Shahi, star of Sex/Life, has voiced reservations about the second season of her popular Netflix programme.
The 43-year-old performer disagreed with some of the behind-the-scenes decisions and even referred to the programme as “gimmicky.”
Sarah, who plays lead character Billie, said: ‘In Season 2, I felt like there were more moments that felt very gimmicky.
‘Those kinds of things for me are always really hard to read… But I didn’t have to do them. The boys did.’
While married to Cooper (Mike Vogel), Billie fantasised about her ex-boyfriend Brad (Adam Demos), with the second season focusing on Billie and Cooper’s choice to terminate their marriage and their efforts to move on from each other.
Devon (Jonathan Sadowski) reveals the outcomes of his penis reconstruction surgery in a gym changing area in season two episode six, which is a jaw-dropping moment.
He had his manhood cut in a vehicle accident because he was getting a blowjob at the time of the impact, causing his partner to chomp it off.

Sarah didn’t say anything specific on Amanda Hirsch’s Not Skinny Not Fat show, but she did confess that she “struggled with the material.”
Later, the actress stated that she “did not have the support from the people involved in the show that I did in the first season.”
Sarah was afraid that her candour would lead to her “never working for Netflix again.”
Despite her dissatisfaction with the second season, Sarah will always remember it fondly because she is now in a relationship with her co-star Adam, 37.
She previously spoke of their connection on Instagram, writing: ‘Not exactly sure how two people on opposite sides of the world could have more in common, were meant to meet, were meant to be together. But I do know I met my soulmate. I do know I found my forever.’
Although their characters do appear together on-screen, they did not appear in many sequences together in season two, leaving Sarah feeling ‘bummed.’
‘I really liked our stories and I like working with him. He was a brilliant scene partner,’ she said.
Sex/Life is available to stream on Netflix.
