You read that right. Simon Cowell has joined The Wiggles.
It may not be a One Direction reunion, but this is a super group we can all get behind.
The media mogul has debuted as the dour Grey Wiggle as part of a new Uber Eats Tonight I’ll Be Eating campaign in Australia and it’s one of the stranger things you’ll see all year.
In the advert, the beloved kid’s TV family can be seen singing some delightful ditties about their favourite food as they wait for their takeaway order, but Simon (in full costume) was less than impressed.
‘I’ve already eaten,’ he sang back at them, trying to put a stop to their tunes.
‘Oh Grey Wiggle,’ Yellow replied. ‘Dinner is better when we eat together!’

The group’s newest member looked suitable disgruntled, delivering an epic eye roll before the Uber Eats order arrived.
‘Thank you,’ he deadpanned, halting a celebratory song. ‘Congratulations. I now hate music.’
Away from the camera, it turns out the Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor mogul was delighted to team up with the Wiggles.
He commented: ‘Food and music have the power to bring everyone together, even polar opposites.

‘That’s why I’m excited to be returning to Australian screens for Uber Eats’ Tonight I’ll be Eating campaign, with the iconic Wiggles!
‘This campaign has been so much fun, I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and I hope the audience enjoy it as well.’
And the Wiggles themselves were happy to welcome Simon on board and get him dressed up in his very own ‘Grey Skivvy’.
Anthony Field – AKA Blue Wiggle – added: ‘For the past thirty years, it’s been an absolute joy and privilege to teach children and families around the world through our music about food and healthy eating.
‘We have admired Simon Cowell from afar and it was a thrill to see him in the Grey Skivvy to have a bit of fun together with Uber Eats Tonight I’ll Be Eating campaign.
‘We hope people enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed being a part of it.’
