Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor has shared how it feels to reprise the role of the Jedi Master for the upcoming Disney+ series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, in which he reprises the titular role.
The spinoff takes place after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, in which Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi Master’s mentee, transforms into Darth Vader.
Ewan will be reunited with Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin in the popular film franchise.
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, the 50-year-old actor said ‘it feels great’ to put the costume back on.
‘The costume is probably slightly different than you might expect, but to go back into the role, shall we say, is great,’ he explained.
‘It’s all still there, it feels good. It’s great scripts and great people to work with and it’s great, I’m having a great time.’

The last time Ewan played the Jedi Master was in 2005, which led to Jimmy joking it was about time for a costume overhaul.
‘As far as the outfits go… whatever Obi-Wan was wearing, would be really out of style by then, right?’ the host asked.
‘Yeah that’s right!’ Ewan laughed, adding that the wardrobe department might have needed to go ‘back to the pre-prequels’ for inspiration.
The actor said he enjoyed being on set, especially considering how far technology has come since the last time he played the character.
‘We’ve got this new technology. Before we did months of blue screen and green screen acting and now we’ve got this extraordinary technology where we wok inside a big screen and the backgrounds are on there so it feels a lot more realistic,’ he revealed.
Production on the project was slated to begin in April, and will later be available to stream on Disney+.
