Stranger Things star David Harbour has shed some insight into what fans can expect to see of Hopper in the hotly-anticipated season 4, including a huge secret.
The upcoming new chapter has already been described as ‘intense’ and ‘dark’ by Max’s Sadie Sink after Eleven was previously photographed being wheeled away on a stretcher.
Getting fans excited ahead of the show’s release, Harbour has hinted that Hopper is going to go through a transformation of sorts.
‘There’s some fun stuff that we’re doing this season, but it’s also the heaviest dramatic stuff I’ve ever had to do,’ Harbour revealed.
‘We get to see a lot of Hopper at his most vulnerable, we’re gonna reveal a lot of backstory points that we’ve only hinted at in boxes in his attic.
‘We’re gonna see a lot of these different threads, and also, we get to see a rebirth of him.’

‘There’s one thing in it that plays very big in this season that I’ve known since the first frame of the first season,’ he added.
The cast of Stranger Things has grown for the new chapter, with four recurring stars were added to the new season.
The Netflix series will welcome Anne with an E’s Amybeth McNulty, Queen Sugar’ Myles Truitt, Queen of the South’s Regina Ting Chen and The Village star Grace Van Dien in upcoming episodes.
They’ll join the likes of Winona Ryder and Finn Wolfhard for the show, which is currently in production in Atlanta.
Plot details for Stranger Things 4 are currently under wraps, but recent set photos have also sparked fears of a huge death. The images show cast and crew members gathered at the cemetery, and it could spell bad news for the residents of Hawkins.
